About NeuMamas®
What is NeuMamas and what is the NeuMamas approach?
NeuMamas is a purpose-driven wellness brand normalizing community self-care for women.
NeuMamas teaches community self-care practices focused on finding rhythm. We believe that we all have our own unique mama beat that becomes the rhythm of our lives, and our signature sound on the collective playlist of our community.
We’re committed to contributing to our community in a way that leverages our individual privileges while meeting our personal needs. We trust that our community will have our back when we need accountability, advocacy, and allyship.
Our approach is rooted in eight self-care practices – nourish, express, unplug, manage, appreciate, move, ask, and sleep.
How is the NeuMamas® approach different from other wellness approaches?
Most wellness approaches teach solo self-care practices focused on finding balance. This teaching is flawed since balance in life as we know it doesn’t exist. Not to mention, humans thrive on communication, connection, and compassion.
NeuMamas teaches community self-care practices focused on finding rhythm. We believe that we all have our own unique mama beat that becomes the rhythm of our lives, and our signature sound on the collective playlist of our community.
Who is the NeuMamas® approach for?
The NeuMamas approach was designed for women seeking a path to parenthood. The eight self-care practices are gender-neutral and adaptable, so get your whole family involved.
For example, Nourish - your mind, body, and soul can be translated to mean...
Reading a book, enjoying a green smoothie, and volunteering at a local non-profit.
Or
Listening to a podcast, enjoying a piece of grilled salmon with greens, and volunteering for a mission trip in Haiti.
There are so many opportunities to overcomplicate life and Abby's intention with the NeuMamas approach is to keep it simple. The community aspect of the approach is focused on accountability, advocacy, and allyship.
How often do I need to practice the NeuMamas® approach to feel and see a difference?
The NeuMamas approach is designed to be implemented daily. Each of the eight self-care practices can be experienced in the time that you have available. There is no particular order in which you need to do the eight self-care practices and there is no set timeframe. Abby designed the NeuMamas approach to be affordable, accessible, and adaptable. To give you a few examples.
Nourish - Eating three whole food meals a day, reading a chapter from a book each night, and volunteering once a month at a local charitable organization of your choice.
Express - Journaling for five minutes every morning, dancing to your favorite song midday, and sharing your feelings with your spouse in an intimate moment each night.
Unplug - Turning off your technology while you spend time with your little ones outdoors taking in the sounds of nature.
Manage - Creating a monthly budget that equips you to live within your means and meet your needs.
Appreciate - Telling yourself the minute you wake up one personal quality that you appreciate.
Move - Taking a walk around the block, chasing your little ones around the backyard, or simply using good posture when you're unloading the dishwasher.
Ask - Confidently asking your employer to discuss your parental leave, unapologetically asking your partner for additional help around the house, or assertively asking your doctor about your healthcare options.
Sleep - Going to bed 30 minutes earlier every night, incorporating a sleep ritual, or taking a midday nap.
The NeuMamas approach is not prescriptive, the eight self-care practices are adaptable. Abby suggests that for one week you keep track of your days from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to sleep. How are you spending your time? Keep track of your daily habits from skipping breakfast to mindlessly scrolling Instagram™. Once you have an idea of how you're spending your time you'll be able to manage it, and you'll start to find your rhythm.
How does NeuMamas® support equitable, accessible + inclusive wellness?
Abby and the NeuMamas team understand that there are many paths to parenthood. We value inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility; and welcome all individuals regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, social class, economic status, sexual orientation, ability, religious views, or any other salient identities. We’re committed to finding more partners, providers, and perspectives that reflect the needs of the larger birthing community. We're invested in education, advocacy, and allyship so that we can continue to learn and grow to support our community in a meaningful way. We're supporters of Dive in Well, a brand committed to cultivating space, community, conversations and change for a more equitable and accessible wellness industry. We're actively completing their Diversity, Allyship, and Privilege workbooks.
Abby is currently enrolled in WC3 Web Accessibility Initiatives course Introduction to Web Accessibility to learn how to make the NeuMamas website, social media channels, and other digital products accessible to everyone who wishes to use them.
Some of the steps that we're taking to ensure that the NeuMamas community is diverse and inclusive and that the approach is affordable, accessible, and adaptable include:
Offering free and affordable resources to our NeuMamas community.
Selecting imagery and creating content that represents the many salient identifies of our community members. We acknowledge that language has the ability to build relationships and form connections, but it's equally responsible for creating barriers and affecting someone's sense of belonging. Our brand name includes the word mamas and our tagline clearly states community self-care for women® which immediately establishes exclusivity for those who don't identify as women or mamas, but are capable of biologically having children. Transgender men, intersex and nonbinary people can and do get pregnant. We also acknowledge that many people giving birth do gender identify as women, and for this reason we will continue to use gender-specific language too. We hope that you find our choice of language to be both balanced and inclusive.
Collaborating with wellness professionals who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities to bring resources, products, and programs to members of the NeuMamas community.
Recommending products and programs offered by women-led brands with corporate social responsibility programs committed to improving women's health, wellness, equality, inclusivity, accessibility, education, and so much more.
Attending workshops, webinars, and seeking other forms of learning through reading books, blogs, and articles on accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the wellness space and in general.
Asking our community members how we can support and serve them during their seasons.
Focusing on intersectional wellness that acknowledges inclusivity, antiracism, and the telling of personal stories by our community members from all walks of life.
Seeking opportunities to provide wellness scholarships and support for marginalized communities.
If you have any questions, concerns, comments, or ideas, please contact us. Abby is here to serve our community and welcomes your support and feedback. Let's collectively come together to create a meaningful wellness experience for everyone.

Products & Services
Does Neumamas® offer products and services?
Abby and the NeuMamas team are planning to launch a signature product line and program in 2024. In the meantime, Abby is open about the fact that she is building the NeuMamas brand organically and is seeking feedback from the community about immediate and long term needs. Please feel free to contact us with questions, comments, or ideas.
In regards to services such as personal training, nutrition coaching, behavioral change coaching, or corporate consulting, Abby is not taking on any new clients at this time. If you would like to join the waitlist, please contact us.
Does Neumamas® partner with brands to promote products & services?
The short answer is no, NeuMamas doesn't do affiliate marketing. If our Founder, Abby ever mentions a product or service, it's because she personally uses it. She doesn't need a link tied to a small commission to share her favorite brands. This also allows her to be completely transparent and not bound by any terms + conditions. She does however, consider a limited number of brand partnerships annually that create meaningful experiences for the NeuMamas community. Abby is very selective when considering collaborations and only partners with brands that align with NeuMamas vision, mission, values, and community. Please contact us to determine next steps.
